The Collection

Reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card when you book. Blackout dates are subject to their own rules. For security purposes, please provide a valid government or state-issued photo ID at check-in. To cover incidentals, we’ll hold $200/day on your credit card. Must be 18+ to book a room. Within Collection rates require 2 nights room and tax deposit at the time of booking. Pay Later rates for Retreat Collection require 2 nights non-refundable deposit due at 60 days prior to arrival. Full non-refundable deposit due 14 days prior to arrival.

Check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 12pm. Book an early flight? Want to sleep in? We’ll do our very best to accommodate you – just let us know in advance. If we can’t, we’ll gladly stow your luggage safely and securely, until you’re ready to move on. There is an early departure fee of one night’s stay plus tax. There is a late checkout fee of half night’s rate plus tax after 12pm or full night’s rate plus tax after 4pm.

Standard Kauaʻi taxes and tourism assessments are applied to all reservations. A daily $59 resort fee per room, exclusive of tax, is applied at the time of check-in. This fee is separate from your room rate and offers unique amenities including our lobby farmstand with fresh seasonal fruit, bicycle rentals, Audi Experience: e-tron drive program and house car, pet beds for our four-legged guests, reef-safe sunscreen, preferred tee times and discounts at Princeville Makai Golf Club and daylife happenings including fitness and wellness experiences. 

Your pet is welcome here! Just add them to your reservation when you book online or reach out to us to let us know they'll be joining you. We understand that sometimes pets can act like animals (and wreck things). If that happens, there may be additional costs for the repair of any damages or additional cleaning requirements. Please familiarize yourself with the house rules.

Due to the remote nature of the island, we highly recommend renting a car at the airport, particularly because taxi services are limited on the North Shore. Valet service is offered for registered hotel guests at $55+ per night. Restaurant and Spa patrons may validate parking with minimum purchase.

1 Hotel Hanalei Bay is a smoke-free property. Smoking is prohibited in guestrooms, suites, balconies and public areas. If smoking occurs, a cleaning fee of up to $500 per room and $1,000 per suite applies. Designated smoking areas are available.
