Celebrate Earth Day With 1 Hotels
We look forward to Earth Month each year, but now more than ever we know how important constructive conversations and small celebrations of our planet are. After all, there’s only 1.
We look forward to Earth Month each year, but now more than ever we know how important constructive conversations and small celebrations of our planet are. After all, there’s only 1.
Here at 1 Hotels, we know when it comes to protecting and celebrating nature it’s not just a question of how to do less harm, it is also about how to do more good. This is at the core of our ethos, and as you can imagine, Earth Day is pretty much our favorite holiday. This year, during this crucial time, we’re taking Earth Day as an opportunity to promote education and action to protect the environment. And to have some fun!
We’ve partnered with mindbodygreen to host Earth Day events at each of our hotels. Join us if you can! If you can’t, we hope you’ll celebrate from afar, and find ways to get active in your own community, both on April 22nd and in the future.
1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge
From its scenic location on the waterfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the hotel is hosting a full day of activities, from astrology readings and yoga on the rooftop to an expert panel on the future of sustainability and a film screening and discussion. Check out the full schedule of events.
1 Hotel South Beach
In Miami, our Earth Day events range from getting outdoors to release newly-hatched butterflies to gathering to celebrate the earth’s bounty. Enrich the local natural surroundings with a bike trip to the local dunes to plant greenery to help prevent dune erosion, or take an outdoor sunset yoga and meditation class. Sample a special Plnthouse menu—all plant-based, of course—and catch live music at Tom on Collins. Plan your day.
1 Hotel Central Park
Outside the hotel on 6th Avenue, we’re hosting a special interactive Earth Day art installation by local florist Denise Porcaro, of Flower Girl, inviting pedestrians to stop, appreciate the beauty of nature, and snap a photo to benefit the NRDC. Sign up to volunteer with our local partner, New York Restoration Project (NYRP) to clean and green the Meatpacking District Streets, or swing inside to the bar at Jams to enjoy a special seasonal cocktail that directly benefits NYRP.
